“ Met up with some family here for lunch/dinner and it didn't disappoint. Eagles nest is a very casual place where you can hangout and enjoy the best bar food around. I ordered the catfish nugget basket that came with fries, which was served fresh and hot. Nothing was soggy about this meal. They did have malt which is always a plus for me and my catfish. For our beverages we had domestic beers and they were ice cold. No complaints. Service was on point, and love the hustle by the young girls who were working. Hands down, great experience! When we're back visiting family, this is a must stop in place for us! ”

“ I guess not everything can be as good as you remember from when granny took us here 40 years ago. It wasn't that busy, but we waited for a table to be bussed. Service from the kitchen was slow. My grilled walleye fish sandwich was way over spiced. The generous basket of chicken livers were good as was the ribeye sandwich with fries. Their coleslaw is vinegar based and okay. No desserts available on a Thursday night. Fresh baked home made desserts come in on Friday afternoons and are generally gone by Sunday. Our awesome waitress told us that tip. She also kept our iced tea glasses full. This is a family owned and operated tavern with kitchen, dining room, and beer garden/patio. Available to cater or host parties. ”

“ A true dive but with great service and food - it's clean - bathrooms and food areas. Service was friendly and quick - got the "special" was pork cutlet with green bean and mashed potatoes with gravy . Reminded me of my grandmas cooking . Worth the extra few mile drive off the freeway ”

After heading about the place for two years we took a 35 minute trip to see what it is all about and the food and service was excellent. We had freshly made onion rings, fried chicken and mashed potatoes! Jared was our waiter and he took great care of us! It's worth the trip and we will be back! ”

“ Yummy! Yummy! You have to check out this place. Tiny town about 8 miles off I-64. Great old tavern in a building that is over 100 years old. And the food is delightful! The menu is very extensive. Sandwiches, salads, baskets and lots of dinner choices. I had the coconut shrimp with a salad and baked potato (at lunch) for $11. Hubby had the walleye. Both were just delicious--cooked perfectly! To top it off, we had a piece of homemade carrot cake! We highly recommend that too! Service from Blue was excellent! Thanks Eagles Nest for a new restaurant for us to stop at along I-64! ”
